I love apple crisp. I haven't made it in a long time, and I have no idea why! This recipe is just delish. I hope you try it!
Here's what you'll need:
Peel, core and slice your apples.
Sprinkle with sugar mixture.
Top with oat mixture.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes, and you'll have the perfect apple crisp!
Here's the full recipe for easy printing:
5-7 apples, peeled, cored and sliced (I used 4 Ginger Gold and 1 Jerseymac...I just filled up my dish with the sliced apples until it looked about right)
3/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Oat topping mixture:
2 cups quick-cooking oats
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the sliced apples in a lightly greased 9x13 inch dish. Mix the white sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, nutmeg and cinnamon together and sprinkle over apples.
Combine the oats, 2 cups of flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and melted butter. Crumble evenly over the apple mixture. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
