I have a new-found sympathy for people whose homes are on the market. Those 5 days might as well have been 5 months! It was tough not knowing when we would need to leave the house on short notice....and needless to say, it was a major challenge keeping it in pristine condition with a toddler and a dog running around.
We did go a little extreme in our home staging though. We had nothing out on the countertops, no trash cans in the bathrooms, no soaps in the shower, not even Audrey's high chair in the kitchen. I'm really looking forward to just living like a normal person again!
I'm happy that it's sold, but I have to admit, it's kind of strange knowing that the house is no longer really ours. I was so excited when the buyer signed the contract, but I also felt just a little bit sad at the same time.
I've grown so attached to this home and all the memories we've made here, but I know it's time to move on and the house will be in great hands going forward! We heard from the buyer's agent that she loved the home so much, and the way that it was decorated, that she took pictures of it when she walked through for future decorating ideas. What a compliment! It sure makes it easier to leave knowing that the next owner appreciates the home as much as I do.
Hopefully now that our home is off the market, I can get back to a more regular blogging schedule! Thanks for your patience!
I'll be back soon!
